|
|
As you know living in the Uk and buying poker chips can be an expensive business.
Someone pointed me to this site http://www.thegolfhq.com/Products.asp?CategoryID=55 and i immediately point my lil brother there, he has more disposable income than i do (he's not married ) and he went for the 500 11.5 GRAM POKER CHIPS + ALUMINIUM CASE for £49.99
I just noticed the 500 HIGH ROLLER NUMBERED 11.5 POKER CHIPS for £69.99 tho and they look smart! think i might piss him off some and buy me those
Unlike Ebay or other sellers, there is NO charge for shipping these chips!
Anyways here's a report on them......
They arrived on the 3rd morning after he ordered them, that is excellent delivery time.
When they arrived tho the dividers in the casebetween the racks of chips look like cheap balsa wood and some of them had split/moved in transit.
The chips themselves are a nice weight, standard suited design. Only problem is that now after only a couple weeks handling them some of the colour is a little smudged, nothing too bad just a little.
So overall, you aren't gonna get cheaper chips or better delivery times, the problems with the case may just have been due to Royal Mails handling. The chips themselves are ok, definately value for money, altho you are pretty much getting what you paid for.
I am definately gonna go for those high riollers ones tho they look smart!
While he was on the site he also bought himself a new Driver, so that's both his hobbies taken care of for the forseeable future |

I also bought chips from the Golfhq and they are very good value for omney.
I would also consider http://www.poker-chips.net to be a very good site. Little bit more expensive, but that much extra quality. _________________ "Well at least I know if this game were purely skill I'd always win."

| I am about to place an order at the GolfHQ because I emailed them and they will do any combination of chip colours you ask for! I don't want 6 racks of different colours, I want 150 of one colour, 100 of another and 50 of another. I may have a couple of local home games soon so things are looking up here finally! |

golfhq were quality, i spent a good few hours looking at different sites before i got my first ever set of chips (500x11.5g). didn't realise how heavy they actually are which was a bummer as transporting them is a bitch.
golfhq didn't give me any crap and delivered them on time - i had sorted a tourney for that day as well. they clean easy as well as people often spill beer on them. |
